Join us today in this unprecedented serving initiative!

In less than two weeks the first CityServe project for 2013 will be underway and so we urgently need churches and individual volunteers to be signing up, as together we seek to transform the region through a diverse range of practical serving projects involving surf clubs, schools, sporting facilities, youth venues, parks and nature reserves.

Skilled volunteers needed

As we plan our resource and workforce needs for each CityServe project, there are a number of skilled work areas that we are seeking volunteer support in.

We are seeking the help of:

Trade or skilled painters – including those who have spray painting experience

Qualified tilers or those who have experience in big tiling jobs and can spare some time for CityServe

People experience at concreting

Projects

For an updated list of CityServe projects planned for Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Lower Hunter please visitcityserve.com.au

Now is the time to sign your church volunteers up for a project. We need hundreds of helping hands over five weekends at Newcastle surf clubs, from Stockton to Merewether – be that for a four hour shift or a whole weekend!

You will also see other projects listed in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, a number of which still need volunteers to be assigned to them.

Another project option that has been identified this week is a recreation area and garden project at Nexus – the adolescent mental health unit at John Hunter Hospital. For more details or to express interest please email us on info@cityserve.com.au

Can I strongly encourage you, if your church is not yet involved, do something this weekend – chat with others at your church, in your small group, ministry team or colleagues at work – mobilise a small team – and sign up now. Be part of the change .. be part of something unique across the region during October.

To sign up today, just head to the website and registration will only take you a few minutes.
