CityServe to launch in one week’s time – plan to sign up today!

Come next weekend – September 28-29 – CityServe 2013 will be underway with projects planned for Cooks Hill Surf Club and Warners Bay High School to kick off what will be an unprecedented five-week serving initiative across the Hunter.

Can I invite you and your church to get on board today and share with hundreds of other Christians from across the Hunter as together we seek to make a transforming difference in our communities through serving in Jesus name! Sharing in CityServe is as simple as chatting with your family and friends at church this weekend – setting aside some time over the next five weekends – and being part of a serving movement that will leave a long-term legacy in our community; as we get practical things done that need to be done! Surf clubs will be cleaned and painted; school facilities will be refurbished, sporting grounds given a spruce up, youth facilities improved; nature reserves transformed.

CityServe presents the unique opportunity for the Churches of the Hunter to come together and elevate our faith in action to the broader community. We are receiving strong support from Newcastle and Lake Macquarie City Councils, Hunter Surf Life Saving, corporate partners, Newcastle Herald, NBN and Radio Rhema.

With this wonderful, favourable backing from across the community – we want to make sure we can deliver on all the projects that are planned and that’s where we need your support – and the helping hands of hundreds of people from across our churches. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty and demonstrate Christ’s love in action. Sign up today and be part of the change that CityServe will bring!
